Amy and Jayme have been teaching yoga in DFW for a combined 25 years (14 and 11 years respectively). They have assisted, facilitated and led over 19 teacher trainings and have helped over 150 students in DFW become certified instructors. The role of teacher is a great honor for them and they feel a great duty to make sure aspiring teachers have the proper tools to communicate yoga confidently and competently. They will work with you personally to reach your goals.
When I decided to go to teacher training, Karmany was the first place that came to mind. But the more I thought about it, I began to wonder if training with bigger ‘celebri-yogis’ was the way to go. But they all seemed so unapproachable and commercial. What I was looking for was an authentic and genuine experience with people who are passionate about yoga, not those mainly interested in gaining customers and making tons of money as they churn out hundreds of teachers each year. I found exactly what I was looking for with Amy and Jayme. They are both extremely knowledgeable in the asana and beyond and complement each other perfectly. There’s no doubt that you will work hard and will be encouraged to bring more to the table, but the result of that is an amazing yoga education of which you can be very proud. I am very proud to tell others that I did my 200 hour teacher training at the #1 yoga studio in Dallas and if I had the choice to make all over again, I’d choose Karmany every time!
Karmany Yoga Teacher Training was truly a transformative experience that propelled me on a new course in life. Having occcasionally contemplated over the years taking a training class, it was my deep respect and admiration for Amy Johnson and Jayme Bushmiaer that moved me to action and to choose Karmany over other programs. However, it went far deeper than the mere poses, alignment and anatomy that I expected to learn. Amy and Jayme unveiled so much more of this abundant, multifaceted world of yoga. They’ve prepared me not only to teach confidently, but also exposed me to a variety of disciplines and ideas I’ll eagerly explore for years to come as I further my personal growth. I’ve emerged from KYTT a completely new person, eyes joyfully wide open to the potential that awaits me. I wholeheartedly recommend this program for anyone who hopes to teach or embark on a path of self-discovery.
I am so grateful to have studied with Jayme and Amy. Beyond giving you the skills, knowledge, and confidence to teach an authentic, safe class for any level of practitioner; you will experience empowerment and life skills to practice both off and on the mat. Jayme and Amy have so much enthusiasm and passion that it makes every weekend fun and exciting! Be prepared for a journey of self-discovery that comes with a lot of laughter and creativity!
